Kopiko Kopiccino with Choco Granules (front & back)
You can’t fully appreciate the strength that Kopiko has become until you visit the rural provinces. I always thought that Nescafe still held the reigns as no. 1 coffee brand in the Philippines, but Kopiko slowly but strongly ousted them with their innovative products and savvy marketing.

I noticed this when I went to Sarangani Province and could not find Nescafe Brown N Creamy sachet (my former favorite 3-in-1 coffee) in any sari-sari store. The tindera told me that they only sell Kopiko Brown N Creamy because it’s supposedly yummier and more sellable. I tried 5 other sari-sari stores but to no avail.

Friends from the provinces explained that Kopiko's brown coffee sachet is everyone's favorite but that was before Kopiko’s Kopiccino with Choco Granules. I have always been a Nescafe fan but this product has given me a reason to switch loyalties.

Before and after the Choco Granules :)
Kopiko’s Kopiccino with Choco Granules is at the pinnacle of cheap thrills. Imagine making your own frothy-looking Italian cappuccino at your own convenience and at a very affordable P8 per sachet!! The coffee mix comes in a separate sachet with the chocolate granules in another sachet but stuck back to back by an adhesive…a first that I’ve seen here in the Philippines. Whoever thought of this concept surely got a big bonus. After all, products as innovative as this help solidify any brand’s strength, and in this case, Kopiko.

Though I don’t consider myself as a coffee lover, I do need my caffeine fix in the morning to get my day started. Sprinkling the choco granules on top of my Kopiccino gives me a sense of pride to have “made” a gourmet-looking drink and believe me it tastes and smells so good as well. As for calories, I can guarantee that it’s very fattening judging from the mix, but it does a good job of perking me up for a long work day ahead.
